ข้อ 2 Should a customer want จากโจทย์เป็นลักษณะของประโยคเงื่อนไข (If-clause Conditions) และประโยคในโจทย์เป็นเงื่อนไขแบบเป็นจริง ดังนั้นจากตัวเลือกทั้งหมดแล้วจึงสามารถตอบในตัวเลือกที่ 2 ได้ทันที (ทั้งนี้สามารถใช้ should แทน if ได้ในประโยคเงื่อนไขแบบนี้) จึงจะได้ว่า “Should a customer want to change goods bought, he must show the receipt.” แปลได้ว่า “หากลูกค้าต้องการคืนสินค้าที่ซื้อไปแล้ว เขาจะต้องแสดงใบเสร็จด้วย” นั่นเอง
