I am a students from Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan and I have been studying at KU since this August until December. I’m taking classes which are conducted in English and I also take Thai conversation class. My study abroad program is called KUSEP. This program can chose classes from facility of humanity, economics, business, engineer and forest. Moreover, not only Japanese but also other countries like Germany, Finland and China. I took the class which is inter-personal skills and cross cultural communication. This is conducted by the professor of faculty of Humanity. In this class, I study about cross-cultural communication in relation to tourism and hospitality industry. We also learn verbal and non-verbal communication between Western and European culture. Inter-personal class has both Thai student and foreign students like China and Japan, so I can learn the difference of the way of communication between each country. Most of students in this class are belong to faculty of Humanity and they are 2nd year students.

          ฉันเป็นนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนจากคณะ Global Studies and Collaboration มหาวิทยาลัยอาโอยามะกักคุอิน ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโครงการ KUSEP ฉันมีโอกาสได้ศึกษาที่มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ตั้งแต่เดือนสิงหาคมจนถึงเดือนธันวาคม โดยได้ร่วมศึกษาวิชาที่มีการเรียนการสอนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษและวิชาที่สอนการสนทนาเป็นภาษาไทย ในโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนี้เราจะสามารถเลือกวิชาที่สนใจจากคณะมนุษยศาสตร์, คณะเศรษฐศาสตร์, คณะบริหารธุรกิจ และคณะวนศาสตร์ ไม่เพียงแค่นักศึกษาจากประเทศญี่ปุ่นเท่านั้นที่สามารถเข้าร่วมโครงการดังกล่าวได้ ยังมีนักศึกษาจากประเทศเยอรมัน, ฟินแลนด์ และจีนอีกด้วย ฉันเลือกเรียนวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับทักษะการสื่อสารระหว่างบุคคลและการสื่อสารข้ามวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งมีอาจารย์จากคณะมนุษยศาสตร์เป็นผู้สอน ในวิชานี้ ฉันได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับการสื่อสารข้ามวัฒนธรรมทั้งทางตะวันตกและยุโรปในส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวและบริการ ทั้งการสื่อสารแบบวจนภาษาและอวจนภาษา แม้ว่านักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ในวิชาทักษะการสื่อสารระหว่างบุคคลจะเป็นนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 2 คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ แต่ก็ยังมีทั้งนักศึกษาจากประเทศจีนและญี่ปุ่นด้วย ทำให้สามารถมองเห็นและเรียนรู้ความแตกต่างของรูปแบบการสื่อสารของแต่ละชาติได้

          I belong to the faculty of Global studies and collaboration in Aoyama Gakuin University. In this facility, every student have to study abroad. The faculty of Global Studies and Collaboration (GSC) develops students’ global perspectives with a focus on collaboration with Asian countries. And, our mission is to cultivate human resources who possess both a strong educational background and high level of specialized knowledge in the social sciences, with a focus on the rapidly growing Southeast Asia region. Most GSC students go abroad in Malaysia or Thailand. In this semester, about 50 students came to Kasetsart University to study abroad and they are in same dormitory.

          นักศึกษาทุกคนของคณะ Global Studies and Collaboration มหาวิทยาลัยอาโอยามะกักคุอินจะต้องมีประสบการณ์การเรียนที่ต่างประเทศหรือเป็นนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยน เพื่อพัฒนาและขยายมุมมองจากประเทศอื่น ๆ ในภูมิภาคเอเชีย จุดประสงค์ของเราคือการสร้างสรรค์ทรัพยากรบุคคลที่เพียบพร้อมไปด้วยพื้นฐานทางการศึกษาและความรู้ทางด้านสังคมวิทยา โดยมุ่งไปที่ภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ นักศึกษาที่คณะของฉันส่วนมากเดินทางไปแลกเปลี่ยนที่ประเทศไทยและมาเลเซีย ในเทอมนี้มีนักศึกษาจากคณะของฉันมาแลกเปลี่ยนที่มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์และอาศัยอยู่ในหอพักเดียวกันจำนวน 50 คน

          We have to do fieldwork about the topics which each students interested in. I chose to study abroad in Thailand because I am interested in religion. I research about vulgarization of Buddhism in Thailand.

          นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนแต่ละคนต้องทำงานภาคสนามในด้านที่ตัวเองสนใจ เหตุผลที่ฉันเลือกมาเป็นนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนที่ประเทศไทยเพราะฉันสนใจทางด้านศาสนา ฉันจึงเลือกที่จะวิจัยเกี่ยวกับความเสื่อมโทรมของศาสนาพุทธในประเทศไทย

          This is the first time to come to Thailand, so there are many new experiences. The first things that I was surprised is the size of university campus. I think it is five times larger than my Japanese university’s campus.

          การมาเป็นนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนครั้งนี้เป็นการมาประเทศไทยครั้งแรกของฉัน ทำให้ฉันได้พบกับประสบการณ์ใหม่ ๆ มากมาย สิ่งแรกที่ฉันประหลาดใจคือความกว้างใหญ่ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์วิทยาเขตนี้ ฉันคิดว่าน่าจะใหญ่กว่ามหาวิทยาลัยที่ฉันเรียนอยู่ที่ญี่ปุ่นประมาณ 5 เท่าได้

          I will stay in Thailand until this December, so I have a plan to go visiting famous temples in Thailand combine leisure and field work project. My Japanese friends often go trip in Thailand like Phuket, Chiang Mai and Chonburi. I want to trip somewhere during Graduation Ceremony week in November because we do not have any class in this week.

          ระหว่างที่ฉันอยู่ที่ประเทศไทยจนถึงเดือนธันวาคมนี้ ฉันวางแผนที่จะไปเที่ยวตามวัดต่าง ๆ ในประเทศไทยเและทำงานภาคสนามของฉันไปพร้อม ๆ กัน เพื่อนนักศึกษาชาวญี่ปุ่นของฉันมักจะมาเที่ยวที่ประเทศไทยอยู่บ่อย ๆ อย่างเช่นจังหวัดภูเก็ต เชียงใหม่ และชลบุรี ฉันอยากจะไปเที่ยวสักที่ในช่วงเดือนพฤศจิกายนที่มีพิธีรับปริญญา เนื่องจากจะไม่มีการเรียนการสอนในช่วงสัปดาห์นั้น

          If I have time, I often go to a local market which is held near Kasetsart University every Wednesdays, because there are few local market in Japan especially near Tokyo. I like Char Nom Yen and I like the store of it in the market, so I often buy it.

          ทุกวันพุธ ที่มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์จะมีตลาดนัด ถ้าฉันพอมีเวลาฉันมักจะไปที่นั่นเพราะที่ญี่ปุ่นไม่ค่อยมีตลาดนัดแบบนี้ โดยเฉพาะบริเวณใกล้ ๆ เมืองโตเกียว ที่ตลาดนัดแห่งนี้ฉันมักจะซื้อชานมเย็นเพราะฉันชอบดื่มและฉันก็ชอบรูปแบบของร้านนี้ด้วย

          My favorite place in KU is library. Livery has English books and academic journals, so if I want to research about words which I learned in class, I often to go there. Also we can eat and drink in courtyard of KU library, so we can refresh when we study in library.

          ห้องสมุด คือสถานที่ที่ฉันชอบมากที่สุดในมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เพราะมีทั้งหนังสือและงานวิจัยทางการศึกษาเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ฉันจึงมักไปที่ห้องสมุดอยู่บ่อย ๆ เวลาที่ฉันต้องการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมจากสิ่งที่ได้เรียนในชั้นเรียน ที่ห้องสมุดของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ยังมีบริเวณที่เราสามารถดื่มน้ำ ทานขนม เพื่อพักผ่อนหย่อนใจจากการอ่านหนังสือได้ด้วย

          In Kasetsart University, I have Thai friends. Most of them, taking same classes or study Japanese. I belong to Japanese volunteer group at business Japanese class in KU, and I am one of the leaders of this group. We join the Japanese conversation class and help teacher and held some activity which related to Japanese culture. So I have many friends who can speak Japanese. I often eat lunch or dinner with them.

          ที่มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ฉันมีเพื่อนนักศึกษาไทยหลายคน โดยส่วนมากเป็นนักศึกษาที่ลงเรียนวิชาเดียวกันหรือไม่ก็เป็นนักศึกษาที่เรียนภาษาญี่ปุ่น ฉันเข้าร่วมการเป็นหนึ่งในหัวหน้าของกลุ่มอาสาสมัครญี่ปุ่นในชั้นเรียนวิชาภาษาญี่ปุ่นธุรกิจ พวกเราจะเข้าไปในชั้นเรียนที่เกี่ยวกับการสนทนา ช่วยอาจารย์ผู้สอนและจัดกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับวัฒนธรรมญี่ปุ่น ฉันเลยมีเพื่อนนักศึกษาไทยค่อนข้างเยอะที่สามารถพูดภาษาญี่ปุ่นได้ ฉันจึงมักไปทานข้าวกลางวันและข้าวเย็นกับพวกเขาอยู่บ่อย ๆ

          Sometimes I have difficulties because I cannot understand Thai. But Thai people are very kind, so I am always helped by their kindness.
