คำคุณศัพท์

คำคุณศัพท์  คือ  คำที่ทำหน้าที่ขยายคำนามหรือคำสรรพนาม ดังนี้
     - Descriptive adjectives คือ คำคุณศัพท์ที่บอกลักษณะ คุณภาพ ขนาด สี รูปร่าง  ของคำนามที่มันประกอบ  เช่น 
          beautiful สวยงาม ugly ขี้เหล่ newใหม่ old เก่า 
          bigใหญ่ smallเล็ก cleanสะอาด dirtyสกปรก 
          goodดี badเลว 

               She is beatiful.
               Dang's room is dirty.
               Tammy is a good tennis player.

          1. การเรียงลำดับคำคุณศัพท์ที่มีอยู่ในประโยคเรียงได้ตามนี้ คำคุณศัพท์ที่บอกสี ที่มา(มาจากไหน) บอกวัสดุ(ทำจากอะไร) บอกจุดประสงค์(เพื่ออะไร) คำนาม
               blue American leather sport shoes red Thai silk business tie 

          2. ถ้ามีคำคุณศัพท์ที่บอกขนาด ความสูง ความยาวจะวางไว้ข้างหน้าจากข้อหนึ่ง
               a small blue cara thick glass bottle
               two new small black Thai boys
               one clean big white American dogs

               ตัวอย่างประโยค
                    She has two big black bags.
                    It is a small white dog.

          3. ถ้ามีคำว่า first, last และ next จะวางไว้หน้าจำนวนนับ
               the first two weeks the next three men

     - Demonstrative adjectives คือ คุณศัพท์ชี้เฉพาะได้แก่ This, That, These, Those This  ใช้กับคำนามเอกพจน์ที่อยู่ใกล้ (นี้)That ใช้กับคำนามเอกพจน์ที่อยู่ไกล (นั้น)These  ใชักับคำนามพหูพจน์ที่อยู่ใกล้(เหล่านี้)Those ใชักับคำนามพหูพจน์(เหล่านั้น)

          This is my pen.
          That is my motorcycle.
          These books are theirs.

     - Proper Adjectives คือ คำคุณศัพท์ที่เกี่ยวกับเชื้อชาติเป็นคำศัพท์ที่มีรูปมาจากชื่อของประเทศ  เช่น
          Thailand Thai คนไทย Canada Canadian คนแคนาดา
          U.S.A. American คนอเมริกัน China Chinese คนจีน
          Switzerland Swiss คนสวิส 

     - Numeral Adjectives คือ คุณศัพท์ที่บอกจำนวนนับ ลำดับที่และจำนวนที่ไม่แน่นอน
          จำนวนนับได้แก่ one,two, three, four,five,six,seven,eight, nine,ten......
          ลำดับที่ได้แก่ first,second,third,fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, nineth,tenth.....
          บอกจำนวนที่ไม่แน่นอนได้แก่คำว่า many มาก much มาก double ทั้งสอง few /a few น้อย จำนวน several หลาย a little/little เล็กน้อย all ทั้งหมด no ไม่มี some มีบ้าง enough. เพียงพอ 
 
               I have four balloons.
               That's his second car.
               I will be away several weeks.

     - Possessive Adjectives คือ คำคุณศัพท์ที่แสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ
          my ของฉัน her ของเธอ his ของเขา its ของมัน your ของคุณ our ของพวกเรา their ของพวกเขา

               My book is on the table.
               I lost her coat.
               May I borrow your pen?

     - Quantitative Adjectives คือ คุณศัพท์ที่แสดงปริมาณบอกถึงความมากน้อยของสิ่งนับไม่ได้มีคำว่า some บ้าง much มาก little น้อย enough เพียงพอ all ทั้งหมด no ไม่มี any บ้าง whole ทั้งหมด

          Give me some food.I do not have enough water.
          Do you have any money?
