Present Simple Tense คือ ประโยคที่ใช้พูดถึงเหตุการณ์ในปัจจุบัน
โครงสร้างประโยค Present Simple Tense
Subject + Verb ช่องที่ 1
โดยประธานจะผันตามคำกริยา ดังนี้
ประธานเอกพจน์ คำกริยาเป็นเอกพจน์ โดยเติม s/es เช่น My mom cooks some food for me.
ประธานพหูพจน์ คำกริยาเป็นพหูพจน์ โดยคงเดิมไม่ต้องเติม s/es เช่น They enjoy playing the football.
หลักการใช้ประโยค Present Simple Tense
1. ใช้เพื่อพูดถึงความเป็นจริงในชีวิตประจำวัน หรือความเป็นจริงตามธรรมชาติ
When the earth moves around itself, it makes Day and Night.
(เมื่อโลกหมุนรอบตัวเอง มันทำให้เกิดกลางวันกลางคืน)
Durian is the king of fruit.
(ทุเรียนเป็นราชาผลไม้)
2. ใช้เพื่อพูดถึงเหตุการณ์ นิสัย หรือการกระทำที่เกิดขึ้นซ้ำ ๆ บ่อย ๆ เป็นประจำทุกวัน เช่น
I walk to school every day.
(ฉันเดินไปโรงเรียนทุกวัน)
Nuda always help other people so everyone loves her.
(นุดาช่วยเหลือคนอื่นเป็นประจำ ดังนั้นทุกคนจึงรักหล่อน)
3. ใช้เพื่อให้คำแนะนำหรือการบอกทิศทาง เช่น
Turn off the television before going to bed.
(ปิดโทรทัศน์ก่อนเข้านอน)
You go straight for 300 meters, then the destination is on your left.
(คุณเดินตรงไป 300 เมตรและจุดหมายปลายทางจะอยู่ทางซ้ายมือของคุณ)
