Netgear EX6200 Setup Method #1: WPS (Wireless Protected Setup)

1. Plug-in your Netgear EX6200 wireless extender to an electric power outlet. Make sure your home WiFi router is placed 1-3 feet away during the WiFi extender setup.

2. Wait for a few minutes, let the power LED turns in to the solid green.

3. Now, power on your home WiFi router.

4. Press the WPS button, present at the back panel of your Netgear WiFi extender.

5. Wait for a few minutes, until the WPS LED doesn't stop to blink. During this process, make sure your WiFi range extender and router do not loss electric power supply or face any kind of interruptions.

6. After that, unplug your EX6200 extender and place it in the halfway between your home WiFi router network range and dead network zone.

This method is quite different from the WPS method. It is complex than the previously described method. So, perform the steps carefully.

1. Plug-in your Netgear EX6200 wireless extender to an electric power outlet. Make sure your home WiFi router is placed 1-3 feet away during the WiFi extender setup.

2. Wait for a few minutes, let the power LED turns in to the solid green.

3. Now, power on your home WiFi router.

4. Connect your Netgear Extender to the router with the help of a CAT5 or CAT6 ethernet cable.

5. Connect your computer to the home WiFi router.

6. Run any web browser and visit mywifiext login web page.

7. Enter the default Netgear extender login credentials, and then hit on the 'Log In' button.

8. You will land on the web-based Netgear extender admin panel interface.

9. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your Netgear EX6200 extender.

10. Once done, hit on the 'Save' button.

11. After that, unplug your EX6200 extender and place it in the half way between your home WiFi router network range and dead network zone.

12. Now, try to connect your computer or laptop to the WiFi extender's Netgear-ext network.

13. Open any web browser and test your Internet connection.
